Training and Technical Assistance

Providencia provides education, training, and technical assistance to optimize humanitarian programs and improve the quality of professional services delivered.

We provide a mix of in-person and virtual classroom education, on-the-job training, and field-level training covering a variety of humanitarian services-focused topics, including child welfare best practices, trauma-informed care, secondary trauma, identifying human trafficking and abuse, interpreter best practices, and cultural competency.

Providencia’s in-house training team is comprised of licensed mental health clinicians, former child protective services specialists, language and cultural competency experts, and certified project management professionals. Providencia trainers are bilingual, with expertise in working with diverse cultures.
